We have done a couple of things other than sink into apartment hunting hell. In our extensive travels around Manhattan rental properties we have glimpsed Times Square, Madison Square Garden, Macy's, Fifth Avenue, the Empire State Building, the New York Public Library, Trump Tower, Central Park, the Plaza Hotel, the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street and some amazing churches. We've eaten at Applebee's, Dallas BBQ, and Big Joe's diner. We've utilised the free wifi at Starbucks, bought terrible coffee all over town and caught a ferry to IKEA Island. We saw Black Swan, watched the New York Jets in the playoffs at a nearby sports bar, tipped people, eaten Three Musketeers bars, Sour Patch Kids and Milk Duds. Oh, and I finally got a new coat.
Once we settle in it is impossible that we won't love living here.
